Commercial property portals
Specialist search platforms give occupiers a way to filter by location, property type, size and other criteria. Rightmove Commercial markets offices, shops, industrial units, land and other types of premises.
LoopNet is another commercial marketplace, and together with Rightmove, they are the top 2 platforms in the UK to find tenants for commercial property. Rather than assume one portal always wins, consider how prospective occupiers in the relevant area search for that type of unit.
Letlaunch currently advertises its £149 package on LoopNet and offers Rightmove Commercial as a £99 addition.
Boards and signs at the property
A visible commercial unit can attract people passing the site or already trading nearby. A concise board with contact details can complement portal exposure, particularly for retail and light industrial premises.
Check any relevant permissions, lease restrictions and site rules before installing a board. Not every unit allows prominent physical advertising.
Local and specialist channels
Existing occupiers, neighbouring businesses, local trade associations and business parks can provide useful leads. For specialist space, industry-specific networks may be more targeted than a general portal.
These methods should support an accurate central advertisement. Inconsistent rents, floor areas or availability dates across channels confuse applicants and waste time.
From online exposure to a completed commercial letting
Effective marketing is only the start. Letlaunch helps landlords organise enquiries and access optional letting tools through one digital-first platform, with intelligent AI integration informing its streamlined approach.
Reach occupiers online
Use the £149 LoopNet package and choose the £99 Rightmove Commercial upgrade where that additional exposure suits the property.
Support after the enquiry
Use the landlord portal to manage applicants, add commercial tenant referencing or Heads of Terms support, and use the online letting tools as your deal progresses.
More exposure does not guarantee a letting. Price, presentation and prompt replies still matter; optional referencing and Heads of Terms services are separately priced.
What information should each advert include?
State the location, approximate square footage, annual rent, availability, proposed use, access, amenities and known additional costs. Add clear images, a floorplan if available and a way to make an enquiry.
Where applicable, consider the non-domestic EPC position and any restrictions on lawful use. Do not promise suitability for a particular business use without verification.
How do you decide which channels are working?
Track the number and quality of enquiries, not just the number of views. Note which enquiries lead to viewings, serious offers and a completed letting.
If enquiries are weak, review asking rent, presentation, photographs and the intended occupier audience before simply increasing the number of channels.
